FAQs (FOr AGtech companies)
How large is the farm and what facilities are there?
Our farm is composed of 4 plot areas, with a combined total around 86,000 square meters (approx 8.6 hectares). The land is an open area field, normally used for general rice farming. Basic farming facilities are available, and most startups will provide their own technology and equipment since it is proprietary and specific.
What type of AGtech startups can join?
Our accelerator supports a wide range of agtech solution testing, including precision agriculture tools, sustainable farming practices, crop monitoring systems, satellite imagery, soil health technologies, water management systems, IoT devices for agriculture, and more. We are open to other technologies being tested in the farm as well upon discussion with the company.
What is the cost for Agtech startups joining?
Agtech startups can join the accelerator for FREE (pending our review on suitability). Networking with investors/corp businesses/press/govt is also free. We do not cover any costs incurred by the startups for logistics, travel, accommodation, and equipment transport, etc to the location though.
WHat sets apart your accelerator from other testing facilities?
Our accelerator is a REAL rice farm, providing a unique combination of real-life testing environments, comprehensive support services, and direct access to a network of investors and industry experts. Our location in Thailand also provides exposure to diverse agricultural conditions and practices. We are also in nature a venture capital company and know how to get investor funding. Not many VCs, organisations, accelerators, incubators, etc have such a unique setup for innovation startups.
Are you going to take my agtech solutions/products away?
NO! We provide you with an environment and ecosystem, but all the solutions/products that you put in testing belongs to YOU (we don't want it). You can take them back whenever you need to.
How long should I test my solutions at the farm?
Normally an agtech startup may reside with us for a year or more, depending on the popularity of the solution towards users or investors. Startups may decide to leave anytime for their own reasoning, though if too short, they will miss out on investors/biz users from observing their tech. If a solution is welcomed by investors, we will prolong that period of testing on our farms.
My startup is not located in Thailand, can I still join?
Yes, we have many global startups joining us. You will need to figure out how to ship your tech over though.
How soon will my agtech get funding?
Like everything in life, esp funding, you need interested investors to know and see your solution in action. If your solution performs sufficiently on our farms, there is a higher chance to get funding exposure. Still again, such depends on the market situations, timing, and many other factors. You just have to be practical and understand how venture capital investment works. It's not buying a coffee off the shelf.
